hi,

Some free security programs and tips that could be helpful along the digital highway. Though I’ve not tried all they could be useful. If you need any related advice please ask here or in the appropriate section in this forum. You can also find related information on the publisher web site, Wikipedia or goggle them.

Thank you,

Thomas

If you could enter a brief description of each program, it would have been a lot easier for lazy users like me to instantly figure out the ones they need. (Just a Suggestion)

After working on my OP I realized its better to post it in General Security, but I couldn’t edit it. I’m not sure If its appropriate to ask this; otherwise my apology in advance: Please, could a moderator move posts #2,3,4,5 to my new thread and remove this one, thanks :thumbup2:

Unfortunately that is not possible to split older replies by time and date into newer topics. As the system will try and build the thread chronologically. This topic was created 31 Oct. The replies are dated dated 18, 19, 26 and 29 Nov. The only reply that could move is #6. Since that reply is newer than the topic time and date it would move into.

Hello Administrator and thanks for your explanation!

My intention was to edit my OP leaving a link to my new thread for moderators in case they would find my idea feasible. However after posting the new thread I realized the editing option in my OP was already gone; I didn’t think about checking first (a new thing for me to learn).

Now how it looks my idea unfortunately is not possible, I’m still wondering what would be the right thing to do; at the same time, it could be that I’m unnecessarily thinking to much.

I really do apologize for any inconvenience, as it looks I’m still learning how to post properly.

As for moving post #6 I don’t see any usefulness for doing that. Reason for requesting moving the other posts, in particular members’ posts #2 & #4 was that they’ve in my opinion contributed to how my OP has evolved.

Thank you,

Thomas

I wouldn't say there is a "best". But there sure are a good variety of them. I would personally recommend using avast! Antivirus

I don't always use Internet Explorer, but when I do, it's to download a different browser.

Google will give you the most hits on a search or you could use Startpage search which is a secure filtered Google search that doesnt track you.
