We currently have a hp laser jet 2605dn printer and it's starting to slow down and struggle a bit.

We need a cost effective printer that does colour. General office use such as printing out emails and leaflets etc, we don't push it too hard. Newsletters etc we have external companies print.

Need to be able to print double sided automatically and have Ethernet capabilities.

Any thoughts?

Thanks! :)

I would recommend a color laser printer.

As far as cost effective? Im really not sure, I know a lot of companies (the one I work for included) use lease programs, you rent the printer for $XX.XX a month and they provide service to it, cartridges etc.

Im not sure how large your company is but this may be a viable option to look into

Anyone else have any ideas on a specific printer?

Thanks again! :)

I've got a HP LaserJet Pro 400 M475dn MFC for home and highly recommend it.  I don't know if you need the copy / scan / fax features or not.

Looks good! What about ink costs and printing costs? Would you say it beats the current printer we have, HP 2605dn

Thanks ! :)

Everything you need is on the page I linked originally.  The color toner comes in a three pack for $323.99 (from HP) and the black is $83.99.  It prints up to 21 pages per minute black and white and in color.  The toner is good for approximately 1,400 pages.  Since I'm using it for home use I haven't put a dent it that.
