I currently have an Asus G72GX RBBX05 - Windows 7 64Bit
I do believe my Atheros AR928X Internal Wireless Adapter just took a bleep....I can't find the same card anywhere (obviously, cuz the laptop is 5 years old).....what would be a model out now that will fit, and sync well with my Laptop and Wireless Switch on the side of my laptop

Thanks in advance.

I don't think ASUS whitelists NICS so you should be good to go as long as the card fits the slot.

Personally, I like Intel NICS.  I bought this one a couple of years ago for my Acer  http://www.amazon.com/6230-IEEE-802-11n-draft-Bluetooth/dp/B004PG08SE/ref=pd_cp_pc_1  just so I could have Bluetooth as well.
