Recently installed this and seems ok, blocked a few sites as possibly suspicious, fine, but it has also blocked sites I have used in the past, which I have had no problems with. Does this have a facility to 'allow or block', or am I missing something.

any ideas

Have you brought the full version? If not you probably have the trial version which will run out after 14 days.

I assume you refer to the IP Blocking, so see Section G:

IP Protection Module:

How can I add an IP so it won't be detected and can access a site I need to?

Visit the site and incur an IP block. Then right-click on the Malwarebytes system-tray icon after the block notification appears, and choose Add to Ignore List.
