My computer is Locked Due to a bunch of viruses. I cannot fix it and restore it. I am techy with the computer and i fool around with the system stuff all the time, making me better with using the computer. The computer is my step-dads and i have tryed everything. Burned a disc with the program SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY. I ran the program from the dell Disc for reinstalling dell inspiron computer software. I did that because if i answer no dont run the disc i get a command prompt. I did that and put the burned disc in. I type in F:

Then I Type in Spybot~1.exe and it says This program must be run under win32.

I dont have a recovery disc and i have tryed almost everything.......Any help would be appreciated.

Hello what is you're operating system?
I will ask another to look here after you post that info.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Hello Brandon Young, and welcome to BC!

We apologize for the delay in response to your topic. The forum can get busy at times, but now I'm here to help!

I have moved this topic to the Malware Removal Logs forum where it will stay so that I can continue to assist you.

In your last post you mention:

Its an inspiron its either windows 7 or xp.

These are two different Operating Systems, could you please verify which one that is...XP or Windows 7?

Also, could you please let me know if your machine is bootable into any mode i.e. Safemode, Safemode with Networking, or Safemode with Command Prompt?

Hello again,

How is this machine connected, do you connect wirelessly, to a modem, or directly to a router?

I ran the program from the dell Disc for reinstalling dell inspiron computer software. I did that because if i answer no dont run the disc i get a command prompt.

Can you still get a command prompt using the above method? That would be very helpful...

Hello again,

Glad you're still here! :)

Let's do the following, you will need a Flashdrive or removable USB device:

Step :step1:Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. Your system should be 32-bit (but if your system can't run the 32 bit version, then please stop and try the other (64-bit) version! Only one version will run on your system. The one that runs will be your version.

Step :step2:
  • Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.
  • Boot the infected machine the same way you did before to get the command prompt again!
Step :step3:

Once in the Command Prompt:
  • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
  • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
  • Select "My Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
  • In the command window type e:\frst (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
  • The tool will start to run.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your next reply.
