I am trying to update my computer with windows update.
But the search that automatically begins when I click 'express' never completes.
The last update I recieved is from Dec. 2005.
Maybe a 'service' is disabled.

This person is having a problem with the USB ports and installing an Epson USB printer, now here it is a problem with Windows Update. It jsut keeps scanning. Question is this version of Windows XP a legal version? I ask becasue I have seen illegal versions just keep scanning.

This is a reply sort of trying to fix both problems that you have. You seem to have done everything right in the other post and Windows Update doesnot work.

Is there any window that pops up asking you to send it to Microsoft?

i don't have a designated pop-up blocker. Usually, an option appears that will let me allow pop-ups for trustable sites.

Popup blocker does not stop this window seeing as it is not a popup window like that it is an error window.
