OK folks, i solved my problem. On that CNN page (URL provided above) if you right click on the CNN video player there is something called Settings. When

i clicked on that it was all greyed out and i could not disable(unclick) the hardware accelerator. Therein lay the problem! I then went to the Adobe FlashPllayer Home Page, where it shows you if you have latest Falsh version and what version you have installed. I then right-clicked on my version and presto,a Settings tab crops up and i unchecked the box that has the hardware accelerator.I then went back to theat CNN page with the videos (see URL) clicked on opne and voila, the video ran with no problema at all. So it appaears it has something to do with enabling or in this case diabaling the Flash player accelerator. Why and How this works i don't know but i found the solution.  Perhaps this may help someone else experiencing the sameissue.
