strange network activity

hello,i opened resource manager today and found this:

what are these sites and why are they being scanned by avast?

The scans are probably being done as part of the active protection to protect you from visiting malicious websites that contain malicious scripts.

i mean why are they being scanned when i'm not visiting them?

Its called DNS Prefetch a lot of sites use that technology to speed up browsing. Its how google search works now.
