Hi.

I am trying to install Windows 8 on a Gigabyte GA-X79-UD5 motherboard, but the Windows installer is not seeing my SSD (OCZ Vertex 4).

I have tried using the preinstall drivers from the Gigabyte GA-X79-UD5 website, but Windows reports that no compatible drivers can be found when it scans my USB.

I have tried installing Windows 8 in IDE and AHCI mode, without success.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks...

Thanks for your reply, mtfeeney.

You are on the right track. It didn't, so I unplugged it and replugged it and it worked.

Starnge how the SSD was working fine and being detected on Windows 8 before I decided to format.
