Never thought i'd be posting about phones here. Much nicer than making a new account elsewhere. Love you all :)

SO: I have what equates to 900,000,000 unicode characters saved on my 4s since release day when i bought it, and i finally found a need to free up space. DELETED THREADS LOCK MY PHONE. I am unable to send, recieve or open message threads after deleting messages and must hard reboot or power down to regain functionality

Looking at the SSD management inside the iphone i noticed the garbage cleanup routine focusses mainly on marking "deleted" items as "to be deleted" and deals with them during syncs or other similar processes which explains why deleted messages are not "deleted" right away, but it does not explain my issue. Help! :) any suggestions are highly appreciated as even after doing a factory restore, setting up the phone with my backup brought back the messages.
