the CD driver in my computer can't read sometimes. Is it the driver's problem or the disk?  Should I get a new CD driver?

what does it do? make funny sounds? just do nothing? are you trying to read scratched discs?

CD drives can be had for $10 these days, so don't be scared to dump it for a new one if it is old and on/off working.
