What is the make and model of this computer?

I take it that you don't have the produce key which came with the retail copy?

thanks for your reply sir. it isnt a specific situation, just more of a general question. basically if the coa sticker on an OEM machine can be used to activate a clean install of windows 7 using a windows cd that isnt from the OEM

Can I install my retail version Windows 7 on my laptop? - Microsoft Community

If you do use a retail copy of Windows 7 on a OEM machine you will need to download the drivers from the manufacturers website.

I personally have not had any experience with Driver Magician, but I know others who have had success is harvesting their drivers with it.
