Hi-Ya my problem is my pc will only strat up in selective mode, I have tried putting it in normal mode and saving but it just will not accept as soon as i hit save it reverts to selective, I would be greatfull  for any help

 

ps:- I am using Win 7

I personally dont like normal mode because you have many things that start up that are not necessary and will slow your system down greatly. 

 

But to somewhat answer your question, you may have a particular program that's having issues which may be causing it to not start up in normal mode. Download http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/

and post the results so we can have a better look at your software.

Sorry for the late reply. Try this,  (Select Normal startup> select Startup. Uncheck any startup item click Apply. Check the same startup item click Apply. General tab should now show Normal startup. Reboot.)

Unfortunatly the fix did not work.I did a reinstall, problem gone,I know this is like taking an hammer to kill an ant but I was unsure if it was an indication of something more serious.Thank's for all the help
