network problems

Hi there

I've got Windows 7 on a Hp dc 7800 small form factor.

My problem is when I try to load programs they start Ok but half

Though they and it says ERROR 1606

Network location%Public%\Desktop\.

How can I get pass this?

This error occurs when you are trying to install, update/upgrade or remove a program on your computer. According to Microsoft, you will need to fix two registry keys: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549

There is a "fix it for me" option if you aren't comfortable editing your registry.
