Greetings technologically inclined,

I have a simple request. Albeit, only simple to those with the resources and know how, neither of which I possess.

I need a collection of short videos burnt onto a dvd. Standard readable dvd. Nothing else.

Simple? I suppose. But very important to me.

I am willing to compensate.

Thanks.

Type burn video to dvd in a search engine like Google or Yahoo, there are many free programs out there with which you can accomplish this.

So, I don't need a DVD burner to create DVDs?

Download and install Imgburn along with DVD Flick. Click on Project Settings--->Burning and make sure the Burn project to disc option is check. DVD flick will then take care of everything.

Yes, you will need a DVD burner to burn data to a DVD.

I've used ImgBurn for years, it has my vote.  There's a good tutorial which can be found here.

ImgBurn now comes bundled with adware and does not give you the choice to not install it. Version 2.5.0.0 is the last version that didn't do this.

Third party software bundled in downloads has become a common practice.  If you do the Epress (recommended) installation the third party software will automatically be installed.  If you choose to use the Custom Installation (advanced) each of the third party software will usually appear one at a time with a check mark already added to install the software, you must remove the check mark if you do not want this software installed.

It looks like versions 2.5.1.0 and later ask if you want some kind of toolbar, but they still install a bunch of other stuff without your permission. I tried installing version 2.5.8.0 a while back, and I canceled the installation because it looked like it was going to install OpenCandy adware. I've heard that other versions ask to install the Ask toolbar and still install the Conduit toolbar no matter what you do.

As for the original question, Windows 7 and recent versions of Mac OS include DVD creation software. If you don't have access to those operating systems, try the programs mentioned above.

I have not experienced this type of problem when doing the custom installation.

If you have these third party softwares installed you can use AdwCleaner to remove them.

Please download AdwCleaner and run it.

An image like the one below will open, click on Scan.

adwcleaner11_zps48314883.png

Once the search is complete a list of the pending items will be displayed.  If you see any which you do not want removed, remove the check mark next to it.

Click on Clean to remove the selected items.

You will receive a message telling you that all programs will be close so that the infections can be removed.  Click on Ok.

When cleaning process is complete a log of what was removed will be presented.  Please copy and the paste this log in your next post.

If you require further assistance I would suggest starting your own topic as this is detracting from the topic posted here and isn't fair to OEBD. :thumbup2:

I didn't actually install one of those versions. I started to install version 2.5.8.0, saw that there was an EULA for OpenCandy, and canceled the installation. I wasn't willing to continue on and see if there was a custom install option. If a custom install actually does exist, ignore my posts.
