This happens just about every time I start my laptop back up after it hibernates and it tells me the system recovered from an error. I've tried to install all the latest drivers for just about everything, but I'm pretty far from an expert on any of this so any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

HI

Unfortunately Box.com requires log in to an account to download files. So either attach the zipped dumps with the next reply (attach file feature) or upload it to http://www.mediafire.com/.

Hi

What you are experiencing is a bug check 9F DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE which means a driver is in inconsistent power state.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff559329(v=vs.85).aspx

In your case, dump blames Windows USB port driver as the reason behind the crashes.

BugCheck 9F, {3, fffffa8007bffe10, fffff8033b18e7f0, fffffa801e193a60}

Probably caused by : UsbHub3.sys

It means, a driver related to USB is not functioning properly when power states are switched (ie, resuming from standby). Finding the real culprit is a little difficult as it need more time. Now it is midnight in my place so i will look in to the dump in deeper tomorrow morning and let you know my findings.

Hi

Your issue seems to be probably caused by btmhsf.sys, the driver for USB based Intel Bluetooth. Please uninstall it as a test and check how the system works.

1. Open Control Panel --> Programs and features.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/access-power-user-tasks-menu-in-windows-8/

2. Now uninstall the below drivers one by one.

    Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® Technology

    Intel® PROSet/Wireless for Bluetooth® + High Speed

    (uninstall option might be hidden inside "change" option).

You will temporarily loss Bluetooth functionality but it will let us know whether this drivers are the real culprit. Test the system by entering standby or hibernate and post your findings in next reply.

Apologies for the late reply and thanks for your solution! I wanted to test it over a number of days, and I haven't had any BSOD issues since I uninstalled the drivers.
