I have a report running Rogue Killer that I cannot read.  Can someone tell me what this report means.  There is also a quarentined file on the desktop by Rogue Killer.

The report was generated by an Asus notebook running Vista Home Edition, 32 bit.

If someone could read this and let me know what it means I would sincerely appreciate it.

Am having no problems after running the clean up programs including combofix.  The system is much more stable and responsive. The only problem I'm having now is updating to SP2.  It will download but will not install.  I'm not getting any error message and it appears to be installing but is not.  I don't have a vLite registry key in HKLM\software so that is not the issue.  However, that is a different matter altogether and I will figure this one out eventually but if you know what's stopping this installation I welcome your suggestions to fix it.  Is there anything further I need to do assure everything is cleaned up?

Please run this security check for my review.

Download Security Check by screen317 from here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

Delete all your Temporary Internet Files and restart the computer normally.

Now try the fix suggested onn this page.

I tried the fixit but no luck.  Still something keeping it from updating correctly.  Fixit showed some probems fixed and two that could not be resolved.  I'm going to run it again and see if I get the same result.  If I do would you mind look taking a look at it if I can copy and paste it or may just have to write it and enter it in manually.  I have read that Asus techs can remotely fix download problems but I don't like the thoughts of a guy from India taking control of this computer.  I'll run the fixit again to see what result I get.  I'll post back here if there is anything to post.  Thanks a bunch for all your help!

Clean your Temporary Internet Files.

Run this ESET scan.

Please scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan
  • Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
    ESET OnlineScan
  • Click the esetonlinebtn.png button.
  • For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
    • Click on esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe to download the ESET Smart Installer.
      Save it to your Desktop.
    • Double click on the esetsmartinstaller_enu.png to download the ESET Smart Installer. icon on your Desktop.
  • Check "YES, I accept the Terms of Use."
  • Click the Start button.
  • Accept any security warnings from your browser.
  • Under scan settings, check "Scan Archives" and "Remove found threats"
  • Click Advanced settings and select the following:
    • Scan potentially unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth technology
  • ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
  • When the scan completes, click List Threats
  • Click Export, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
  • Click the Back button.
  • Click the Finish button.
Try the Download one more time.

The unresolvable error message given is 0x80070057 which is, as I understand it, typically an updating or download problem due to outdated programs and application (which is what I am dealing with) to incompatible drivers, hard drive problems and the list goes on.  Since this system was sooooo out dated I'm thinking (hoping) it's nothing more than that.  Before I picked up your message I restarted the computer which took a much longer time than usual to boot up and am trying to download SP 2 now.  It appears to be downloading fine but the problem has been with installing.  Should I go ahead with the attempt to install SP2 and see how that works out or cancel the download and run the ESET program first?
