May apply to Dell E5400 Latitude and Nextbook 7se.

Situation: I would appreciate the capacity to find my son's devices, if they become missing in action, being a poor boy (just a fact) I hope to use freeware and the devices components.

This is the second round of laptop and tablet, they go to Mom's and vanish (sorry, but I am telling the truth). Young son needs this stuff for high school and robotics.

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Truly,

Bob

What devices are missing?

Have you checked in the Device Manager to see if they are listed there?

To access the Device Manager click on the Start orb, then type device manager in the search box and press Enter.

Arach,

old laptop and old tablet are physically missing.

With new devices physically on hand, Laptop (Dell Latitude E5400) and Tablet (Nextbook 7se) I want to be able to find them should they disappear as well.

I am thinking about VPN and Remote desktop etc, so we can track them from home~not sure though.

Thank you for response.

Truly,

Bob

You could try software like Prey to track the computers.
