Hi to all,
I need help with the files and folders on this new Windows 8. I had Windows Vista before and I could move files in my shared and my documents. I could right click and select size of the objects or files in the folder, or I could have it in list or detail. Also I could align to grid or auto arrange, I cant do any of that in Windows 8 I move files at all can anyone help, thanks in advance.
Windows 8 is my first experience with computing, so I can't speak for Vista or anything else. But I've learned that there's a new feature called "ribbon" that you may have overlooked because it can be hidden. And since you mentioned "align and auto arrange" that tells me you may not know about it. Go into "computer" and at the top right of the page there's a tiny arrow next to the q. mark. That arrow will open the "ribbon" (unless it's already open.) You can see all that stuff you're probably looking for. You can mouse scroll that "ribbon" too for more controls. And of course you can just highlight your files and drag them to the desired folder in the navigation pane at the left of that same pg; the navigation pane is where all your libraries and folders are listed.
Other than that potentially useless information, I have nothing to offer. Good luck.
