Dear forum,

Sorry to bug you guys, but I have a little q. about Malwarebytes.

I downloaded Clipgrab and got a little more than I bargained for.  I ran Malwarebytes.  Nothing serious, just 6 PUP's; except that there was one I especially didn't like: SpeedupMyComputer.  I felt I couldn't live with that crap, so I had MB discard those files.  But to do that MB popped it had to reconfigure windows, and that took 30 minutes.  Is that normal? or was that a malware trick by the downloaded file to reconfigure a bigger problem?  It just seems doubtful that MB would have to go to that extreme to discard 6 files. After that scary 30 min. I uninstalled manually the program file for SpeedupMycomputer, and then ran MB antiroot which found nothing. I still have ClipGrab and presently everything seems decent.

I know it's a silly question compared to some of the more serious problems in here, but I couldn't resist asking.

P.s.  I'm rather fond of Malwarebytes. It seems to be a good performer.

Neophyte :)
