how to open files with .mdx and .daa extensions

hello all,

am having probs extracting and opening two files with extensions of .mdx and .daa. i tried 7zip extracting the one with the .daa extension but it's kinda looping around. it extract the file to the same one and over and over again. can you help please? thanx

Not sure why you are trying to open them but make sure they have come from a trusted source. Anyway, see here for more information on those file extensions:

 

MDX

thanx for your advices . well to answer your post : am trying to open these files cause the first one with .mdx is a big car workshop manual that i need to read and use. the second file with .daa extension is a portable software. but the 2 links you've given me are useful so thanx.
