Tell me about Startup Repair.  This came up today, went through its process, forced a restart, and then although everything seemed fine, a problem was that Norton 360 Auto Protect was turned off, and it could not be re-enabled.  After one more manually chosen restart, and a couple minutes wait, Norton 360 seems back in normal operation.

I did NOT make any changes to my system.  I did NOT install new software.  I have no other details I could think to give.  I really wish I understood Startup Repair, and why now for the second time this year, Startup Repair acted upon a fresh computer start, if I had made no changes and would ordinarily expect no problems.  I do not take much risks on this computer:

Windows Vista fully updated;

Firefox 24, IE 9,

Norton 360 v20
