i'm about to go out and purchase xbox live,i was wondering if my router was compatible with it,im using a Dynex 4-Port Ethernet Broadband Router, Model: DX-E401

your help would be appreciated

if its wired i think it should work you may have to unlock some ports but thats pretty easy tbh, it should work really i dont see why not.
If the universe is ever expanding, what are we expanding into?

At worst if it wants to be real fussy... you can pick up a D-Link 604 (Xbox Certified) for about 40$...
