I have been doing a lot of research related to computer virus and currently researching on the Cryptolocker virus. Came across this site and it has been amazing since then. Learnt alot from here and geek to go. I hope I can be helpfull to this forum and at the same time learn from its schooling.

:welcome: Welcome to BC! Good to know you are reseaching about Cryptolocker!

Thank you Sirwat. I just had one customer call us with the crypto locker virus but was unsucessfull in removing the virus. I did not remove the virus but ran listcrilock.exe to check if his files were encrytped and it showed about 2048 files were encrypted mostly pdf files and some word files.

I was able to find virus location which was in appdata/roaming folder. I ran the decrypt_harasom.exe which said none of the files were infected. I could have removed the virus but then did not as I heard after removing the virus the files infact then get encrypted.

Was there anything else that had to be done. Sorry if  i am posting this in a wrong way. This is my first in any forum.
