Howdy, gang... Just doing my spring cleaning.
I've had some positives pop up on AVG and, with a little time on Google, discovered that they could be false positives created by having a virtual drive. It matched all the criteria... 7 positives for "pci.sys hooked import ntoskrnl.exe" IoDeatchDevice -> spok.sys +0x625DC found under system32\drivers.
However, the other day it jumped up to 53 reported cases. *Awkward Cough*... Less likely to blow it off as a mistake now.
While there is still some whisper on the AVG forums that these are false reports, I figured: "The guys and gals at Bleeping are always abreast of this kind of thing. Maybe I'll double check with them... Plus, I love porn, so no doubt I'm infected with other stuff that AVG doesn't pick up."
Small donation of bacon money to anyone who can give me a run through and a clean up?
