Will Win 8.1 be available as a CD or one big transferrable download?

My only Win 8 computer is a desktop and only has dial-up internet access for any updates. Right now I don't bother updating it as it's so slow.

I was wondering if the update to Win 8 (so called Blue, or Win 8.1) will come in a CD form or maybe a download I could get with my XP from a hot spot and transfer to the Win 8 desktop?

Thanks

8.1 will be released the way services packs were. With Windows 8, service packs will not be released and instead they will release new updates.

I don't follow what you're saying.

Are you saying that I will be able to download a service pack using my xp notebook (using a high speed internet connection) and then apply that to my win 8 desktop?
