If you don't think it's malware...why did you run ComboFix, which is a tool whose sole purpose is to assist in neutralizing malware?  Additionally...this topic is posted in a malware forum, not a forum for dealing with Windows or hardware issues.

Since you have run it...I suggest that you post your CF log for review at BC Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.html .

Please follow Steps 6-8 of Preparation Guide, Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html and post the requested logs, along with your ComboFix log, in the forum reflecting the Prep Guide.

Once that is done, this topic will be closed to avoid confusion.

Thanks :).

Louis

hello...sorry,i wasnt aware that this was not the right forum..Its not a hardware isssue,i think i came across wrong..my lappy was working fine and then bam all of a sudden,on the next start up,the problem surfaced..

i didnt know it was not a malware..after running combofix, malware bytes, system defender and avg did i reach the conclusion that it wasnt a virus/malware(i could very well be wrong, hence the speculation)..

Also when i ran combofix, the lappy boots up(as it does before displaying its log) and when the lappy booted up before showing the combofox log,it booted up normally..the system tray loaded like it normally does(ie without any lag)..

Anyway thanks for your help, ill post in the right forum as you rightly pointed out

I merged your MRL topic here and closed this.
