I followed all of the steps, and the bit online scanner was able to get rid of everything except one file which was C:\windows\system32\twain32.dll it was identified as a trojan. This failed to delete however I tried. I have tried every free scanner/antivirus/antispyware, and even bought spyware detector. Eventually the scans come up clean but that is not the case. I am still on the blank browser, and I have an icon in the startup menu that will send up a popup every few minutes to remind me that I am infected by the same company that wants me to pay them to un-infect. It says in a red box "your computer is infected, critical system error! System detected virus activity............click here for available software. I think this all started when I went to download a codec for a naughty movie in a moment of weakness. I never even got to watch the clip!!! Please help!!!
