Hi :)

My Laptop which is running Windows 8 on a core i5 processor randomly freezes for about ten seconds whilst surfing the internet through Google Chrome. I always experienced the freezing when browsing the internet so I'm suspecting that it's an issue of Google Chrome, no? When the laptop freezes, I cannot even move the cursor or enter the task manager, but after a matter of seconds it continues to operate normally.

I ran ChkDsk to make sure that it isn't my hard drive failing, but no errors or problems were found. What could this issue be?

Thanks.

Sounds like it could be an issue with Chrome. Two things you can check and retest:

First, try the "Relaunch Chrome in Windows 8 Mode" option.

Next, you can also try "Disabling the Chrome Pepper Flash" and use the regular flash instead.

If neither of the above yield any improvement, I would certainly test another browser as well.

Good luck.
