My Internet cable is rj45. If i connect that cable directly to my pc, and set up the connection (PPPoe, requires a username and pass), i can access the internet.
then i bought a tp-link wr841n router which has a Wan (rj45) i/p.
and i ran the tp-link's setup software, configured the router with the username and pass, but still it wont connect to the internet.
any help please ?

Most routers that are in conjunction with dsl require you to change the router to a different subnet. So your dsl modem could use 192.168.1.1 and router would use 192.168.2.1. Try changing the default gateway on router and see what happens.
