Hello, do you remember if AVG found/fixed anything after you ran it?

Hi

AVG tune up only the usual broken links, old files etc. The initial download did say that 'msvcr110.dll' was missing and I had to download AVG 2014 again to get it to work. :bubbles:

Glad to hear the computer is up and running again. As for your backup restore problem, did you backup using this method: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/238782

Are you sure that .pst file contained all folders you wanted to backup?

Hi
Yes, the mail is there as I can search for all mail older than 2 weeks and there are hundreds, but they do not show up in the folders view.  Don't know why this is all crossed out either!?

I can only speculate here, maybe its just the folder structure that hasn't been preserved. In order to get help with this you could post in the Applications forum. I don't know enough about the subject to be able to help here, and the thing with backups is that there is always a risk to lose data when trying new approaches.
