I was brought a Gateway Laptop with Windows xp, the customer tried to create a desktop start up icon on the desktop, what she put on the desktop was the actual start up web page overlay on the desktop. I can as in works of word drag it an make it bigger or smaller, but I can not delete it. When I go to any programs it does not show up only on the desktop wall paper, any ideas?  Right click does not have a delete

Did you check MSConfig for the related startup icon?
