My buddy accidentally broke off the usb port to my Western Digital external hard drive when he took it apart to fix the loose case. We tried hooking the hard drive itself up to his Thermaltake docking station. The computer recognizes that there is 900 gigs of important files on there, but they are unallocated and cannot be accessed. We're having trouble figuring out how to fix this so that he can just install it internally into my computer.
Here is my hard drive- http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=125&lang=en

If anyone can figure it out without costing anything or deleting the files that would be awesome.

Here is the piece that broke off- http://s24.postimg.org/gneewji1x/Photo1.jpg

It's the usb port.

Why not just remove the drive from the enclosure...and attach it directly to a system's motherboard?

If the drive is reading as RAW or unallocated space...you need to try to move whatever is on it to another storage medium.
