My personal laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad X131e with Windows 7 Professional. A couple weeks ago I had the "Antivirus Security Pro" thing, I ran a root kill, and Malwarebytes. Now I can't Browse the internet, everything else on the computer seems to work fine. I can access certain sites from my favorites bar on Chrome, and perform a Google search, but it wont follow the links. Firefox will let me do a Google search and go to a few sites. And Explorer is giving me nothing. Please Help, I have to return my school computer on Monday, and I'll be left with nothing.

OK, I got it fixed on my own. I downloaded Windows Repair (all-in-one) on my other laptop, moved it to a flash drive and installed it on my infected computer. The first step it suggested was Malwarebytes, so I ran another full scan (took Forever!), removed a lingering threat and restarted the computer. Browsers still not working. Then I did all the other things recommended by Windows Repair (fell asleep in the middle of all that), I pushed a button every time I awoke throughout the night, and low and behold when my alarm went of this morning I found my computer in top working order. I think it will be fine now that I have given my mother a lecture on downloading free games and such from sites nobody has ever heard of.
