Have older Gateway system 509GE
XP Home 2002 SP3
Intel Pentium 4 3GHz

System randomly reboots without any BSOD or minidumps.  Doesn't appear to
be any rhyme or reason.  Originally suspected restart/crash when using
Firefox and accessing audio/radio station but noticed system restart when
unattended and nothing going on.

Have unchecked "Auto Restart" on system fail still no BSOD/Minidump.

Running Speedfan: CPU in middle of operating range.  Does spike to about
65-67 C under load which I believe is at high end of normal operating
range.  Otherwise sits at about 52 C.

Recently installed 2 GB RAM and additional 700GB hard drive.

Ran memtest86+ but for only 3 passes with no errors.

I do not recall whether system started crashing before or after each of
these additions to the system.  I want to say before but cannot say with

Have read on net that it may be a power source but before I go ahead and
purchase larger, would like to know what tests may be run to determine if
it is a PSU.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

What happens if you remove the additional stick? What PSU brand/wattage is being used?

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.
Note: Under Operating System, please remove or delete your license key or serial number.

Download MiniToolBox and run the program. Select
List Last 10 Event Viewers, List Installed Programs and List Users, Partitions and Memory Size then click Go.
A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.
