I found out about this site from Consumer Reports (October 2013 issue p.11). [ConsumerReports.org]

My purpose is to assist a friend who has his laptop pretty well infected. I've clean up most of the more common viruses and such, but there are some really persistent nasty popups. As search of the registry entries doesn't immediately reveal much so far. Perhaps I'll find some solutions at "BC".com
