Hello, computer was running fine then one day it started freezing while playing World of Warcraft. Seems to happen in dungeons when there is a lot of graphical or audio things going on. It also freezes when accessing some websites like youtube, etc. Have to hard reboot every time - totally frozen. I had always been able to game with settings turned up so recently I changed them all down and still happening.
Kids had recently installed Steam and some mods for Minecraft which made me suspicious. I uninstalled them, updated drivers for sound and graphics card, monitored my temperatures (all good) and even tried to restore to a previous restore point ... still freezing randomly. I cleaned temp folders, ran malwarebytes, superanti-spyware and a virus scan with just a few tracking cookie hits. Opened the case, cleaned it, and checked to see if the cards had moved and needed to be reseated.
Weird that is just started happening.
Last night I got my first blue screen while working on an audio track in Adobe Audition.
I am very computer literate and consider myself advanced so would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks. (dont know if this is the correct thread for this issue, feel free to move it if needed)
I run my operating system on C and most my programs run from D.
