Hello, computer was running fine then one day it started freezing while playing World of Warcraft. Seems to happen in dungeons when there is a lot of graphical or audio things going on. It also freezes when accessing some websites like youtube, etc. Have to hard reboot every time - totally frozen. I had always been able to game with settings turned up so recently I changed them all down and still happening.

Kids had recently installed Steam and some mods for Minecraft which made me suspicious. I uninstalled them, updated drivers for sound and graphics card, monitored my temperatures (all good) and even tried to restore to a previous restore point ... still freezing randomly. I cleaned temp folders, ran malwarebytes, superanti-spyware and a virus scan with just a few tracking cookie hits. Opened the case, cleaned it, and checked to see if the cards had moved and needed to be reseated.

Weird that is just started happening.

Last  night I got my first blue screen while working on an audio track in Adobe Audition.

I am very computer literate and consider myself advanced so would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks. (dont know if this is the correct thread for this issue, feel free to move it if needed)

I run my operating system on C and most my programs run from D.

OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz, x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 3071 Mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX, 512 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 183288 MB, Free - 139211 MB; D: Total - 1907726 MB, Free - 1665885 MB; E: Total - 7468 MB, Free - 233 MB;
Motherboard: MSI, MS-7350
Antivirus: avast! Antivirus, Updated: Yes, On-Demand Scanner: Enabled

Any help would be appreciated.

It won't help you solve this problem, BUT what I recommend is, when you have it working reliably, make a "Norton GHOST Image" of your "C" drive, so that in the event of similar future problems, you can restore your "C" drive from said "GHOST Image'. What that does, is WIPE "C" drive completely, then copy the "GHOST Image" onto "C" drive so as to make it EXACTLY like it was at the time you created the Image file.

Two explorer.exe processes...unusual.  Possibly a bug caused by running uTorrent, from what I see.

Other than that, I see nothing unusual indicating a problem when looking at Speccy data.

I don't have anything clever to offer...

Let's try this...

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.htmlDouble-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

On the surface of the one BSOD report reflected...I'd uninstall the M-Audio device...and see if the problems continue.
