I was wondering if there was any decent FREE software available for AD management.

Ideally it would need to easily manage users, computers, groups, security, policies etc easily.

I have used several different paid systems such as RM (RM management console) and Management Engine - Active Directory Manager. Unfortunately in the end they all require you to pay a LOT of money :(

Are there any free, good solutions available does anybody know?

Thanks in advance!!

samba 4 is something that seems to spring from the back of my mind, not one of my strong points.

I can only suggest you take at look at

sourceforge.net

if free is what your looking for, that's generally the community that has either made it or can be persuaded to :)
