Howdy folks

ill start by saying im very quiet most of the time and can tend to be all business, im quite shy really, but once you get to know me, I got a bit of a dark and cheeky humour ;)

Im into gardening and building computers and the missus is already a veteran malware fighter so im looking to improve my skills in that sector so we can duo or cover each other.

I consider my biggest current weakness when it comes to malware fighting at a more professional level is im a little intimidated by logs and registry entries.

also I have had no time as an engineer on anything newer than xp and have only just started getting into win7, skipped vista entirely.

hope you guys are skilled enough to turn me into a pro. =D

Hello Mr Young and welcome to BleepingComputer,

I think this link may be of interested to you if you want to join this site's training program: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/86678/malware-removal-training-program/#entry484908
Also for the record, here is a list of other sites which have training programs: http://www.uniteagainstmalware.com/schools.php

As for you weaknesses, they should all be covered in time as you go through the course.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try my best to answer :)
Out of interest, is your missus part of any forums like this?
