I'm looking to buy a new laptop because the one I have just is not capable of keeping up with the games I play. It is an emachines E627, here is a link to the specs. I have upgraded Ram to 4GB http://www.cnet.com/laptops/emachines-e627-5019-15/4505-3121_7-33893704.html ............. I was looking at this Laptop, http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/419357/Toshiba-Satellite-S55-A5294-Laptop-Computer/?cm_mmc=SundaySky-_-CategoryLaptops-_-15-_-419357 ..............Was just wondering if you could give me any advise as to whether the Toshiba would be good for games or should I look into a gaming computer. I really cain't afford $1200 to $1500 for a gaming computer. I play Farmville 2 and Kings Road on facebook mainly.

These are the system requirements for FarmVille 2. This game requires Java to play.Have you keep your java up to date ?. If not that could be why your Emachine is not up to the task.

Kings Road system requirements:

This game requires a cpu 2.33GHz or faster x86-compatible

The Toshiba would be more than enough for running those two games.

For most gamers the issue is the video card.  get one with as much RAM as possible, both system memory and video memory.  The more the merrier, you cant go wrong.  then look at the processor.  you can probably get a 3rd gen Intel processor a lot cheaper than a newer 4th gen processor.  get the fastest one you can afford just don't scrimp on memory!

Thanks for your input. Yes I just updated Java a few days ago. Did not make any change. I did buy the Toshiba and it works awesome!
