Um...

Since making a few changes to the registry to alter my computer name (as recommended by Microsoft themselves) I have been getting the same message appearing every time I start up my PC. It appears on the desktop Notepad and says

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

I wonder what it means and how I can get rid of it?

Thanks

Ally.

EDIT: I found THIS article of interest. It appears to be an easy fix.

ORIGINAL POST:

You could try a system restore to restore your settings back to the way they were before. More info on this can be found HERE.
