My laptop recently underwent an update for Windows 7 and now the keyboard and touchpad won't work at all. The keyboard works before the OS starts so I can get it into safemode but then as soon as the login screen for the password in safemode starts the same problem occurs. Since I can't even get into Windows I'm not sure what to do.

Is there a way to execute system restore before the OS starts?

Thanks in advance, Tom

If you have access to an external USB keyboard and mouse see see if they work.

Do you have the installation disc for this laptop?

Do you remember what the update was?
