my lenovo (win7) died-power supply- and won't turn on any more. i bought a dell (win8)and am trying to recover my libraries from the lenovo. i was using digital lifeboat to back up but there is no digitallifeboat.com and when i try to download it from CNET or softpedia it seems like they want me to download other stuff like zoom downloader. what should i do? i really need those docs and pics.

You can untick or decline the unwanted software?

 

If you download it from here follow this steps:

Then the software will install without any junk.

hmm. got a registration error then checked my spam folder and found this:

After June 28, 2013 you will not be able to recover data from your PC. In regards to your Digital Lifeboat service, you will not need to perform any action.

That looks not good, can you get the harddish out it and make an "extern" of it to clean it out?
