I haven't been able to update my McAfee 'auto update' for a couple of weeks, neither can i download updates for AdAware or any other security I have. My yahoo also stopped responding but that could be the network i'm on that stops all sorts of pop-ups from reply buttons to...updates???

How do i know what's wrong?
I've run STNG260, remover brontok, Spyware doctor, and hijack this.

I still can't update my security and presume it's a virus (every other laptop in this department has been even worse hit than me).

Where do i start?
Where do i go to find out what should and shouldn't be in the hijack this log?

If your running Win XP/2000, download and scan with Ewido Anti-Malware v3.5
Ewido Install and Scan Instructions

Perform these online Virus scans:
[Watch the Address bar in IE. You may receive alerts that "This site might require the following ActiveX control...Click here to install...". Click on that alert and then Click Install ActiveX component.]
Trend Micro Housecall Scan
Panda ActiveScan [ActiveScan Panda does not remove adware/spyware but will autoclean for viruses & worms.]
