Original Post:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/507655/my-laptop-is-all-locked-up/

I believe I said this is my other topic post, but I just want to remind you:

   - Unable to doubleclick on any program

   - Unable to open Windows Explorer

   - Unable to open Control Panel

   - Every once in a while I get a message in the lower right screen above task icon tray that my Windows 7 is not Genuine

Things that I can do:

   - I am able to use Run from the Start Menu, then browse for a file (some work and some don't)

   - I am able to use notepad, which is what I use to open files (Click on Open, and run as administrator to run a program)

ComboFix starts to run, but then it just disappears while it's working on the registry hive.  I opened Process Explorer and I don't see ComboFix running.  Not sure if I should try again or maybe run it from Safe Mode.  I'll just wait for a reply.

I understand that I'm not "the most important person", but I'd really like to get my Laptop working again.  I was told that I shouldn't do anything further until someone from BleepingComputers has instructed me to.  Please post a reply with some further instructions.   :smash:
