Hi everyone,

So my computer isn't having any major issues really; for some reason my Synaptics touchpad has stopped allowing me multitouch gestures (though if i rollback the driver they work, but then side-swipe gestures stop working). I'm fairly sure this is just a compatibility issue with the present driver that will hopefully be updated and fixed soon. But trying to figure out what was wrong with that has just prompted me to do some spring/late-summer cleaning (and, heck, maybe you guys will see something related to this issue), and while once I may have felt comfortable tackling registry edits on my own I think I'd rather leave it up to you guys these days.

I'm running an HP Pavilion Dv6 Notebook pc on Windows 8 64 Bit,

8gb processor,

intel core i7 3610QM cpu @ 2.30 GHz 2.30 GHz.

Nvidia GeForce GT 650 M

Intel® HD Graphics 4000

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

Not sure what info you guys really need, so I thought I'd just throw this up there. Anyway, Here's the logfile. Any help you can offer is Highly appreciated! Thanks!

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps in the order listed.

HijackThis doesn't handle your version of Windows well. In your case I need to see a final DDS Log.
I suggest you remove HijackThis using the Add/Remove Programs list.

Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links if you no longer have it available. Save it to your desktop.

1: DDS.scr (Not recommended if you use Chrome to download this .scr file. Use the other options.)
    2: DDS.pif
    3: DDS.COM

Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
Notepad will open with the results.
Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results. Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run.

    dds_scr.gif

Please just paste the contents of the DDS.txt log in your next post. DO NOT attach the log.

Please paste the logs in your next reply, DO NOT ATTACH THEM
Let me know what problem persists.
