i have WD my passport 1 Tb external hardisk which has been corrupted (RAW)..it asked to format disk to use it....i saw your thread and tried using test disk in pmagic but the file is showing file system damaged..what can i do recover my files which is almost 800 gb...please do reply..the hard disk is one of my friends and he doesnt know the problem yet...thanks in advance

i took one of my friends external hard disk ( 1 TB WD my passport) it has been corrupted ( RAW format) ..i saw the thread of using testdisk in parted magic...i could not see my drive in the mount devices list...i tried using test disk but it is saying file system damaged...how can i recover the files in the disk almost 800gb ...and my  friend doesnt know it yet....please do reply....thanks in advance
