Can't upgrade software on Home Theater

I've upgraded both my TV and Home Theater before by downloading the software from Philips website. No problems at all. I had Vista Home Premium, but now Windows 8.The Home Theater can't verify the software, which is a BIN - file. I've contacted Philips about the problem, and they were so kind sending me a USB-stick with 'the correct' software. But it's the same as the one I downloaded. They said no, when I asked if the BIN should be converted to something else. I don't no what to do now. :unsure:
