windows xp sp3 machine
all of this was originally installed on a gateway machine that the mother board failed. i had a shop transfer everything to a new custom pc about 2 years ago. the machine has never been right in my eyes. since the changeover i have always had a message to push F1 to boot, and had the screen say "CMOS checksum error, defaults loaded".
2 days ago after things go hairy an MBAM scan removed 4 problems. ive been experiencing some crazy instabilities in my computer since then:
after rebooting from the mbam scan, i rebooted again and windows installed 112 msft updates.
it will randomly reboot when it's sitting idle, and display the "win has recovered from serious error" message when restarted.
computer becomes very unstable when watching youtube. videos will skip back to the beginning, error out before loading or the machine will reboot. with a "recovered from serious error" message when restarted.
it will reboot when using win media player
randomly it will not connect to the router (cannot even use "ipconfig /renew" command) until restart. wired connection.
randomly it will lose connection to the audio device, a focusrite 18i6. until reboot. usb2.0 connection.
i use this computer mostly for audio recording in cubase and basic internet needs. i was in the middle of producing some music and i've lost my DAW, this is really hurting me right now, so any help you guys have would be appreciated.
Any further info or scans/reports needed just ask. thanks in advance
