welcome to BC,

What is the adversity you are facing?

We see common PC problems in multiple categories and it still seems like each one is unique.

But most recent is now my favorite links on my internet home page are missing, cant access any of the links like internet options, add-ons favorites etc...and the most recent...cant download ANYTHING. Not even from microsoft. Havent been able to update for quit some months now. Think I just need to get out a sledge hammer and start wacking away lmbo.

I understand the feeling,

This is one of those topics that can go three different ways. It could be in the Security Group, the web browser/software group or the Operating Systems Group

Either one of them will probably be fine, if it is in the wrong group it will get moved.

I think the best place ro start for a new user is the get acquainted with the posting guidelines. Most notably your PC specs like make/model and operating system etc.  i.e. Dell Dimension 3980 using windows xp 32 bit

Then, i think within a 2 or 3 day window there should be some experts chiming in on your informal Help Desk Ticket. Sometimes it could be right away, depending on how swamped they are.

Here in the introduction area, it is a great place to state  "hi everyone, look for me"
